& OBJECTIVIES OF SHANTHINIKETAN
- To give Special Education,
Training , Residential facilities for mentally handicapped
and other disabled persons.
- To undertake research
programmes to publish the material on disabilities and
provide training for teachers and parents and to provide
Medical and Health facilities for needy persons
- To provide social security
for persons with Disabilities and for Orphans and Street
children
- To take steps to improve
literacy in rural and backward areas giving preference
to S.C.s and S.T.s
- To help State and Central
Governments in implementation of their Social Welfare
and Development programmes
- To provide rehabilitation
for Cerebral Palsy and Spastic children
- To start a centre for
Women to impart training and to take measures to their
development and to undertake any activity for the Welfare
of Women
- To undertake activities
for community based rehabilitation, to provide and to
start a Home for Disabled to provide " Life Long
shelter and Rehabilitation"
